As a Virginia Remote Online Notary, my role is limited to the verification of identity and the witnessing of signatures. I cannot advise on the legal effects of your documents. Please consult with legal counsel if you have questions regarding the content or consequences of the documents being notarized.

Terms & Conditions

1. Identity Verification & Compliance

Pursuant to VA Code § 47.1, all signers must undergo a multi-layered identity proofing process.

  • KBA & Credential Analysis: Signers must successfully pass Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) and automated Credential Analysis. This is a third-party security requirement.

  • Technical Requirements: It is the signer’s responsibility to ensure they have a stable internet connection, a functional camera/microphone, and a valid government-issued photo ID.

  • Non-Refundable Verification: Because platform fees and identity verification credits are consumed at the time of the attempt, failure to pass identity verification or meet technical requirements does not waive the session fees.

2. Fee Disclosure

To secure and confirm your appointment, payment must be received in full.

Session Rates

  • Standard Single Document: Starting at $45 (Includes one electronic seal and platform access).

  • Real Estate / Loan Packages: [Link to your full Real Estate Fee Schedule]

Premium Scheduling Surcharges

The following additional fees apply to sessions scheduled outside of standard business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST) or on short notice:

  • After-Hours (5 PM – 9 PM): +$30

  • Late Night / Early Morning (9 PM – 9 AM): +$45

  • Weekend: +$45

  • Emergency (Scheduled with under 2 hours notice): +$45

  • Federal Holiday: +$100

Note on Surcharges: Surcharges are cumulative. For example, a weekend session scheduled with under 2 hours' notice will incur both the Weekend and Emergency surcharges.

Payment & Confirmation

  • Accepted Methods: We accept Google Pay, Apple Pay, Zelle, ACH, and all major Credit Cards.

  • Processing Fees: All digital payments (Credit Cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay) are subject to a 3% convenience fee.

  • Confirmation: Appointments are considered "Pending" and the time slot is not guaranteed until payment is confirmed.

  • Chargebacks: By booking a session, the client agrees that the services are considered "rendered" once the identity verification process begins. Unauthorized chargebacks will be contested based on these agreed-upon terms.

3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

As a Virginia Remote Online Notary, each session requires the pre-allocation of digital platform resources and identity verification credits.

  • Late Cancellation Fee: A $25.00 fee (equivalent to the Virginia statutory fee for one remote notarial act) will be retained if an appointment is cancelled within twenty-four  (24) hours of the scheduled start time.

  • No-Show Policy: If a signer does not enter the virtual waiting room within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session will be terminated. Because the platform's security and identity protocols are initiated at the time of booking, all fees paid are non-refundable in the event of a No-Show.

  • Technology Issues: If a session cannot be completed due to a verifiable failure of the Notary's technology or platform, a full refund or a complimentary reschedule will be provided. Signers are responsible for ensuring their own hardware and connectivity meet the minimum requirements prior to the session.
